On January 30, the office of the US trade representative hosted a meeting between the Minister of employment and labor relations N. Khusanov and assistant US trade representative C. Wilson.

During the negotiations, the foreign side was provided with detailed information about the measures implemented in the country to support productive employment and labor protection. In particular, measures to implement international labour standards in national legislation, effective mechanisms for the functioning of the State labour inspectorate, and the activities of the National Commission on combating human trafficking and forced labour were highlighted.

During the meeting, C. Wilson noted the recognition by the US Government of Uzbekistan's progress in eliminating forced labor, especially in improving labor legislation and implementing structural reforms in agriculture.
