On December 11-12, 2021, a two-day practical seminar was organized for employees of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan on "The future of the labour sphere: new approaches in the activities of employment services and digital transformation of the labour market".

The main goal of this seminar was to increase the potential of representatives of the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, to strengthen employment services, introduce additional tools to stimulate demand for labour resources, as well as digitalize the labour market.

Training of ministry employees also made it possible to get acquainted with modern mechanisms of digitalization of the sphere of employment and labour relations, through the creation of information systems, software and other IT products.

Minister N. Khusanov noted: “We are implementing two joint projects with UNDP, within the framework of which a lot of work has been done aimed at stimulating job creation, developing youth entrepreneurship and self-employment, as well as attracting the best international practices and experience in the field of employment and reducing unemployment rate, especially in rural areas”.

As Inclusive and Sustainable Growth Cluster leader of the UNDP Uzbekistan Diyora Kabulova emphasized: “In cooperation with the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, this year we launched the project “Adapting population skills to the post-pandemic economy in the Fergana Valley”, within which it is planned to train informally employed persons, returning labour migrants and other vulnerable groups of the population, and our efforts will be focused on the most in-demand skills, such as professional technical and digital skills and competencies necessary for the future labour market ”.

The speakers at this training were trainers from UNDP and MZTO M. Rakhimov, M. Khamidulin and B. Madina, who shared the secrets of building a strong team, S. Dushamov, who spoke about the methodologies of project management Agile and Scrum, J. Erzakov, who revealed the possibilities of DevOps, G. Sarimsakova , who spoke about the modern instruments of the Labour Code, F. Masharipov, who showed the instruments of employment on the basis of the new edition of the Law "On Employment of the Population". The topics of personal brand building and effective work with the public, financial management, automated online monitoring of the labour market, microservice architecture, and correct database design were also discussed. All participants of the field training were awarded with certificates.

The joint project «Adaptation of the skills of the population to the post-pandemic economy in the Fergana Valley» is implemented by the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations and UNDP with financial support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
