The global coronavirus pandemic affects all sectors of the world economy, including labor migration. Today, millions of migrants in different countries are forced to adapt to these conditions.

The Ministry of employment and labor relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and employees of the Ministry's representative offices abroad pay special attention to this problem. To this end, on may 5, employees of the Agency for external labor migration in the Russian Federation And the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia took part in the #YordamBOR project (#Helpishere!), which provides hot meals to migrant workers. The initiators of the charity event are patrons David Yakobashvili and Jan Yanovsky.

Partner of the project — Novikov School — one of the modern culinary schools of restaurant management in the center of Moscow, the largest gastronomic educational project in the country pleases our compatriots with its cuisine.

Within the framework of the charity project, prepared food and foodstuffs are distributed to migrant workers who have been on forced leave for several weeks and live in dormitories due to isolation measures imposed by the Russian Federation. At the first stage of the campaign, it is planned to serve 250 people a day, and at the next — 1000. Their number depends on the technical and financial capabilities of the project initiators. Special attention is paid to the caloric content and nutritional value of complex meals.
"The main basic value of any society is inclusiveness. And if a person does not have Russian citizenship or a residence permit, it does not mean that they are not part of our society, and we should not take care of them," said Jan Yanovsky.
