Minister of employment and labor relations Nozim Khusanov familiarized with the work carried out to reduce poverty in Kashkadarya region

The activities of the Ministry of employment and labor relations are aimed at mitigating the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the labor market, labor relations and employment. First of all, all the necessary measures are being taken in all regions of the country to reduce and prevent poverty, to provide work for citizens who are temporarily left without earnings due to the lack of opportunities to travel abroad to earn money due to the closure of external borders.

An additional 200 billion soums were allocated to the Public works fund of the Ministry of employment and labor relations at the expense of the Anti-crisis fund under the Ministry of Finance. As a result, more than 117,000 citizens were involved in public works in April. Including 7,5 thousand people - in Kashkadarya region.

Minister of employment and labor relations N. Khusanov visited Kitab and Kamashi districts of Kashkadarya region on April 15 to study, monitor and find solutions to existing problems.
 
It should be noted that in order to provide employment for the unemployed during the quarantine and reduce poverty, in particular, to support those in need of a stable source of income, 18 households in Kitab district received from 2.2 million soums, a total of 35.6 million soums were allocated. Thanks to these funds, greenhouses were created on private plots of low-income families in the district.

To provide employment and create additional jobs, 489 members of low-income families were engaged in paid community service.
 
In Kamashi district, work in this direction is organized systematically. In particular, LLC "Comfort business service", specializing in the cultivation of legumes and cereals, potatoes, fruit and ornamental trees, attracted 60 unemployed people to paid public works through the employment promotion Center of the district.

The Minister also got acquainted with the activities of Khusan Khidirov from Kamashi, who organized a greenhouse on his private farm at the expense of a subsidy provided by the Employment promotion center. This greenhouse is located on a private plot of 15 hectares. 2676 seedlings of tomatoes, bell peppers and eggplants were planted due to a subsidy of 669,000 soums.
