On June 2, a ceremony of equipment transfer was held in Jizzakh to representatives of small and medium-sized businesses to launch new and expand existing business projects. It is worth noting that the participants of this initiative were selected on a competitive basis on such criteria as the number of new jobs created for women and youth, the possibilities and potential for dissemination and replication of the project in the future, the potential for ensuring social impact on improving professional skills, employment opportunities and raising income for women and youth.

The event was attended by the Deputy head of the Regional Employment Department of the MELR, Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Jizzakh region, representatives of the Ministry for Support of Mahalla and Family and Yoshlar-kelajagimiz Foundation, as well as entrepreneurs who receive equipment.

Six entrepreneurs received 88 units of production equipment and special equipment total amount of 187 million soums on a grant basis. As a result of the implementation of these entrepreneurial initiatives in the Jizzakh region, 32 new jobs will be created for women and youth, and 33 women and youth representatives will have the opportunity to study modern professions and develop entrepreneurship skills.

Activities of selected entrepreneurship projects:

• Women's hairdresser and beauty salon creation;
• Training and production center creation for training women and sewing wedding dresses, modern curtains and children's clothing;
• Beauty salon creation, training and employment of unemployed or college graduates;
• Organization of mini-incubator for training women and youth to create video content in Uzbek;
• Sewing workshop creation for sewing and training in sewing elite curtains and bedspreads from national fabrics;
• Sewing workshop creation for the production of mattresses, bedding sets and baby clothes.
