STATE EMBLEM OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

gerb

The Law "On the State Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted on July 2, 1992 at the tenth session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In the center of the coat of arms is a Humo bird with spread wings - a symbol of happiness and freedom. Our great ancestor Alisher Navoi characterized the Humo bird as the kindest of all living things.

At the top of the coat of arms is an octahedron, symbolizing the sign of approval of the republic, inside a crescent moon with a star.

The image of the sun is a wish that the path of our state be illuminated with bright light. At the same time, it points to the unique climatic conditions of the republic.

Ears of corn - a symbol of daily bread, stalks with popping cotton bins - the main wealth of our sunny Earth, glorified it around the world. Spikes and cotton bins intertwined with the State Flag ribbon mean the consolidation of the peoples living in the republic.
