The Minister of employment and labor relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Minister of health, labor and welfare of Japan

On December 18, 2019, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the leadership of the Minister of employment and labor relations N. Khusanov held a meeting with the Minister of health, labor and welfare of Japan Kato Katsunobu.

During the meeting, negotiations were held on the training program for technical trainees in Japan. The parties specifically emphasized the implementation of the temporary employment of citizens of Uzbekistan on the program "TOKUTEI GINO". Separately, the working conditions and labor protection at enterprises of the country of the rising sun were noted.

The Uzbek side also indicated that the remuneration of migrant workers should not be lower, and the working conditions should not be less favorable than for Japanese citizens who have the same position, specialty, qualification and perform similar work. Special emphasis is placed on the following criteria for the implementation of labor of Uzbek citizens: the availability of social protection systems, compensation for insurance costs, compliance with labor standards and conditions.

In turn, the Minister of health, labor and welfare of Japan, Kato Katsunobu, noted that in accordance with the Memorandum "On cooperation on the appropriate implementation of the system for foreign labor resources with the status of stay "employee with special skills", the process of accepting qualified workers from Uzbekistan and ensuring transparency of registration processes in Japan should be monitored on a permanent basis.

The Ministry of health, labor and social security of Japan emphasized the importance of protecting the rights of Uzbek labor migrants, creating favorable working conditions and ensuring social protection.

Today, the government of Japan accepts qualified specialists from 9 countries to work in the country's leading enterprises. As a result of the negotiations, the Republic of Uzbekistan was included in the list of countries as the tenth state under the TOKUTEI GINO program.
